Cycling: Tim Merlier won the ninth stage of the Tour de France. Last year's winner Tadej Pogacar remains in the yellow jersey of the overall leader.

Merlier defeats Milan
As expected, the ninth stage of the Tour de France, covering 174,1 kilometers from Chinon to Châteauroux, was decided in a bunch sprint. The Belgian Tim Merlier (Soudal – Quick-Step) has jonathan milan (Lidl – Trek) and Arnaud de Lie (Lotto) prevailed.
