Racing technology for the off-road segment: New SHIMANO RX710 gravel shoe

July 23, 2026 by Andrew Waldera

New SHIMANO RX710 gravel shoe

Product News: With the new RX710, SHIMANO introduces a high-performance off-road shoe inspired by the top-of-the-line S-PHYRE RX910. This new gravel shoe brings high-performance racing technology to the off-road segment. Whether for gravel races, remote dirt tracks, or all-day tours, the RX710 promises the ideal combination of efficient power transfer, secure support, and superior comfort.

The new SHIMANO RX710 combines versatility with performance. At the heart of this new gravel shoe is the lightweight, carbon-reinforced midsole with a stiffness index of 9 out of 12. The seamless, low-profile sole construction reduces the shoe's height and ensures a direct connection to the pedal as well as high stability. To ensure safe walking sections off the bike, SHIMANO uses the Pontoon Cleat System, which stabilizes the interface between shoe and pedal, thus guaranteeing secure grip on uneven terrain.

SHIMANO RX710: Fine adjustment and wide variety of fits

The upper, made of lightweight synthetic leather, combines breathability with durability, according to SHIMANO. Two BOA L6Z dials ensure a perfect fit and can be quickly adjusted even while riding. Thanks to SHIMANO DYNALAST 2.0, the shoe offers a revised fit for an even wider range of foot shapes. The RX710 weighs exactly 315 grams (size 43), according to the manufacturer, and is available in Black and Sand White. In addition to the standard version (sizes 38–50), SHIMANO also offers a wide (38–48) and a narrow (36–44) option. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is €249,95.
