August 6, 2026 by Andrew Waldera

Product news: Tire manufacturer Continental is further expanding its gravity MTB tire series, adding a whopping 13 (!) new combinations of casing and rubber compound to the existing range. This expansion is aimed at trail, enduro, and downhill riders who want to fine-tune their setup to the specific terrain and their riding style.

Continental is expanding its gravity MTB tire range with 13 new tire combinations, offering riders even more options to create their ideal setup for demanding trails, enduro races, and downhill riding. The new variants are distributed across the four familiar models. Argotal, Kryptotal Front, Kryptotal Rear and Xynotal tire models. Additional versions called Trail Soft and Enduro SuperSoft are now available for 29-inch and 27,5-inch wheel sizes. The versions for smaller wheel sizes (20, 24, and 26 inches) remain in the product range.

Carcasses and rubber compounds in detail

• Enduro carcass with SuperSoft rubber compound: This version is designed to offer the highest level of grip and control in the Continental portfolio and is intended for demanding terrain and maximum traction.
