Giveaway/Product News: The cycling season doesn't end with summer. With its Ride All Year initiative, GripGrab takes a holistic approach to autumn and winter: Instead of considering individual clothing items in isolation, the Danish brand focuses on a coordinated layering system, from the base layer to weather protection – complemented by gloves, overshoes, and other accessories. Several new products are a particular highlight for autumn and winter 2026. To help you ride through the winter, we're giving away a set worth over €1000 in partnership with GripGrab.
When the days get shorter, the temperatures drop, and rain, wind, or even snow become part of everyday training, choosing the right clothing becomes crucial. This is precisely where GripGrab's Ride All Year comes in. The idea behind it is as simple as it is consistent: the weather should rarely be the deciding factor in whether or not a ride takes place.
GripGrab views winter clothing as a complete system. Base layers are designed to wick moisture away from the body and regulate temperature, mid-layers provide additional insulation and protect the outer layer from wind, cold, and changing conditions. Gloves, overshoes, hats, and socks finally cover the classic weak points on the hands, feet, and head.
At the heart of their performance-oriented range is the PACR line. It features a close-fitting race design and is aimed primarily at ambitious road and gravel cyclists. GripGrab states that they develop and test their products under real-world conditions, incorporating feedback from professional, test, and everyday riders.
Highlight: AquaShield Waterproof Winter Road Shoe Covers
Cold and wet feet are among the most reliable killjoys on a long winter ride. That's why GripGrab is focusing on particularly comprehensive protection with the new AquaShield Waterproof Winter Road Shoe Covers .
The most striking feature is the exceptionally high cut. The overshoes extend well above the ankle, thus facilitating a smoother transition to long winter trousers or leg warmers. At the same time, the lower leg and shoe opening are better protected against splashes, rain, and cold wind.
GripGrab uses coated, three-millimeter-thick bio-based neoprene for its materials. Waterproof seams further reduce moisture penetration. The lower section features GripGrab's IntelliSeal technology, which provides a snug fit without a traditional zipper. An abrasion-resistant sole and additional protection in areas that come into contact with the crank arm enhance durability. Reflective elements complete the winter design.
However, due to the design of a road bike overshoe, it is not possible to completely rule out water ingress – for example, in the area of the cleats or through the top opening during prolonged heavy rain.
Highlight: PACR Winter Jacket
The central outer layer of the new system is the PACR Winter Jacket . The jacket is aimed at sporty road and gravel cyclists and combines wind protection with insulation and maximum breathability.
At its core is a three-layer Windtex softshell material. This is designed to block cold wind chill, while a water-repellent, non-fluorinated finish allows light rain and splashes to bead off. The inner layer has a waffle-like structure that traps air, thus enhancing insulation without unnecessarily restricting moisture transport during more intense activities.
True to the PACR line, the cut is slim and athletic. Raglan sleeves and pre-shaped arms are designed for the typical riding position on road and gravel bikes. Bonded hems, a high collar, and an extended back panel are intended to reduce drafts. The two-way YKK zipper is a practical feature, allowing for ventilation control during intense rides. Three classic rear pockets, an additional zippered pocket, and reflective details complete the design.
Important: The PACR Winter Jacket is designed as a breathable winter softshell, not as a fully waterproof rain jacket or an extremely thick, insulated deep-winter jacket. This is precisely why it can be flexibly combined with the different layers of the Ride All Year System.
Highlight: PACR Winter Seamless Long Sleeve Base Layer
A good winter system starts right on the skin. The new PACR Winter Seamless Long Sleeve Base Layer was specially developed for intense activity in cold temperatures.
GripGrab utilizes a virtually seamless circular knit construction with different knit zones. In the upper body area, structured surfaces create small air pockets to retain heat. At the shoulders and sleeves, however, the material is thinner and smoother to minimize additional bulk under close-fitting jerseys and jackets.
The blend of polypropylene, polyamide, and elastane is designed for moisture transport and quick drying. A Polygiene treatment is also intended to reduce odor build-up with repeated use. Thanks to its close-fitting, second-skin cut, this baselayer is ideal as a first layer under the PACR Winter Jacket; in very low temperatures, the insulating PACR Mid-Layer Vest can be worn in between.
Highlight: PACR Windproof Winter Gloves
With the PACR Windproof Winter Gloves, GripGrab adds to its new winter equipment range a glove that is designed to combine warmth with a comparatively direct grip feel.
Windproof softshell material protects the outer layer from cold winds, an insulating inner lining provides warmth, and a close-fitting fleece cuff seals the wrist area. A water-repellent coating protects against light rain and splashes – however, the gloves are not completely waterproof.
The GripGrab palm combines microsuede with padding and silicone-coated areas. This is designed to reduce pressure on longer winter rides while maintaining contact with the handlebars and brake levers. Touchscreen-compatible fingertips, a soft wiper area, and reflective details complete the features.
Other products of the GripGrab PACR Ride All Year System
PACR Thermal Bib Tights
The long winter bib tights complete the PACR outfit on the legs. GripGrab uses Miti Superroubaix thermal material, which, thanks to its brushed structure, is designed to trap insulating air. The PACR Thermal Bib Tights are designed for cold conditions and feature a chamois and reflective elements.
PACR Thermal Long Sleeve Jersey
GripGrab positions the PACR Thermal Long Sleeve Jersey for milder winter days and especially the transitional seasons. This close-fitting long-sleeved jersey is made from stretchy microfleece with a brushed inner surface, combining lightweight insulation with high breathability. A full-length YKK zipper, three rear pockets plus a zippered pocket, and reflective details make it a versatile layer for fast training rides.
PACR Insulated Mid-Layer Vest
When a baselayer and winter jacket alone aren't enough, the PACR Insulated Mid-Layer Vest comes into play. Lightweight Teijin Octa Airmesh on the front and back offers a high warmth-to-weight ratio, while the front panel provides additional wind protection. The vest can be worn under a jacket or, if needed, over a jersey.
Aviator Windproof Deep Winter Skull Cap
For temperatures around and below freezing, GripGrab offers the Aviator Skull Cap. This close-fitting cap fits under a bicycle helmet, has a windproof front, and provides ample coverage for the forehead and ears. A microfleece lining offers additional insulation.
Multifunctional fleece thermal neck warmer
The fleece neck warmer is a simple yet effective way to protect against the cold penetrating around the collar. The breathable fleece material can be worn in various ways and, in particularly low temperatures, pulled up towards the face. The material is intentionally not windproof, ensuring good breathability even when worn over the mouth and nose.
Merino-Lined Waterproof Winter Socks
For the feet, GripGrab combines a waterproof construction with a merino wool-based lining. The material is designed to provide warmth and breathability, while reinforced areas at the heel and toe enhance durability. Together with the AquaShield overshoes, this creates two-stage weather protection for particularly unpleasant winter days.
Not the individual product, but the system
With Ride All Year, GripGrab focuses less on a single new product and more on the interplay of different clothing layers. Depending on temperature, intensity, and weather, base layers, jerseys, mid-layers, and jackets can be combined in various ways. The collection also specifically targets the most cold-sensitive areas: hands, feet, head, and neck.
This modular approach is particularly interesting for performance-oriented riders: An intense winter ride presents different requirements than a long, relaxed base ride. Instead of wearing as much insulation as possible, the focus is on finding a sensible balance between warmth, wind protection, and moisture management.
And that is precisely the idea behind Ride All Year: The question before looking out the window should no longer be whether to drive – but only which shifts are the right ones today.
