Behind the Liv brand, the strengths of the world's largest bicycle manufacturer, Giant, are united with the goal of getting more women on bikes. A key element in this effort is affordable and versatile bikes. With the new BeLiv AR, the brand aims to achieve precisely that. This all-round bike, with its lightweight aluminum frame and comfortable 32mm tires, is fast and agile – whether on asphalt or gravel.
The Liv BeLiv AR at a glance
“The BeLiv AR expands the possibilities that road cycling can offer women,” says Sally Wang, Liv Global Road Category Manager, describing the newly introduced drop-bar bike. It's a classic do-it-all road bike that, thanks to its endurance geometry and tire clearance for up to 43 mm, makes even long rides on varied surfaces a breeze, allowing the rider to focus on the experience, not the equipment. While the frame is made of aluminum, the rigid fork and seatpost are crafted from lightweight carbon fiber on both build options. The BeLiv AR is priced between €1.700 and €2.000 (MSRP) and is available in three frame colors.

Where does the Liv BeLiv AR excel?
Whether it's long, dusty summer tours across extensive backcountry trail networks, quick after-work rides before the next autumn storm, or even multi-day trips over asphalt and gravel through unfamiliar landscapes: the Liv BeLiv aims to be a reliable, and above all, fast and comfortable companion at all times. Comfort is ensured not only by a carbon seatpost with a specifically designed flex and the Liv Approach saddle with its "Particle Flow Technology," which is designed to distribute pressure evenly, but also by details such as the enlarged contact area of the drop bars to prevent pressure points on the hands. At the same time, the aerodynamically shaped frame ensures that no energy is wasted unnecessarily on air resistance. And because fit is definitely the most important factor when choosing a new bike, the Liv is available in five frame sizes from XXS to L. All frame sizes are based on a large pool of anatomical data, which Liv uses to design its bikes to fit female riders as precisely as possible.
Equipment highlights and geometry
The two equipment variants differ by 300 euros; the top model justifies its price with a mid-range Shimano 105 groupset, offering two chainrings up front and twelve sprockets in the rear. Compared to the 1x11 drivetrain on the BeLiv AR 1, the 105 allows for higher speeds on flat terrain; however, it falls slightly short on climbs. A more detailed look is available using the gear ratio calculator . Both the AR 1 and the AR 0 come standard with 32 mm wide Giant all-road tires, which are tubeless-ready. The wheels are also tubeless-ready; their wide rims allow for good use of the frame's generous 43 mm tire clearance.
