Schwalbe confirms first 32-inch gravel tires: G-One RS & RX Pro now in 32-inch

September 18, 2026 by Lukas Mühlehner

Schwalbe G-One 32

Schwalbe G-ONE 32-inch: Oversized wheels are becoming increasingly popular – which is why Schwalbe is introducing its first official 32-inch tire. The G-One RS Pro and the RX Pro have the distinction of being the brand's first 32-inch tires. Tire width? Casing technology? Intended use? Find all the information here!

The trend in the gravel bike sector has been moving strongly towards even larger wheels for many months, and the new size is already seeing its first racing successes: Robin Gemperle took the victory at this year's Unbound XL on a G-One RX PRO 32-inch prototype. To offer the perfect equipment for the hype surrounding 32-inch gravel bikes, the family-owned company Schwalbe is now taking the next step: The established G-One RS Pro and G-One RX Pro profiles will be available in 32-inch versions from April 2027.

We've compiled all the information about the 32-inch hype here!

Improved traction and more stable handling

The two new G-One models are designed as tires for all the challenges that come with tough gravel riding. Schwalbe doesn't need to reinvent the wheel design, but instead draws on the proven technology of its high-end gravel tires and scales it up for the new ETRTO diameter of 686 mm. The goal is to get the most out of the new wheel size: extremely stable handling on the one hand and a significant increase in comfort on the other.

This performance is already underscored by initial racing successes. Robin Gemperle recently won the prestigious Unbound XL, one of the toughest gravel races in the world, on 32-inch prototypes of the G-ONE RX PRO. Until now, the established Schwalbe tires were only available in classic wheel sizes like 28 inches. With the new 32-inch version in widths of 50 mm and 55 mm, Schwalbe is now closing a gap for those seeking maximum rollover performance and traction, just in time for the market launch of a new generation of gravel bikes in autumn 2026. Matching inner tubes and 32-inch MTB tires are also slated for release in April 2027.

The G-One RX Pro offers an aggressive profile and now comes in a 32-inch size.
The G-One RS Pro will also be available in 686-50 and 686-55 from April 2027.

“Initially, we were skeptical whether 32 inches would be a worthwhile addition. But the more we tested, the clearer the conclusion became: ‘Anyone riding on 32-inch wheels will definitely feel a difference,’ says Felix Schäfermeier, Head of Product Management at Schwalbe. ‘In terms of tire setup, the new wheel size offers more stable handling, better traction, and greater comfort, especially for gravel riding. This also opens up potential for other categories without diminishing the value of other sizes.’”
