Product news: With the Junico Wave, the Hamburg-based e-bike brand Yuccie Bikes expands its model range for the 2027 model year with a lightweight unisex step-through e-bike. Despite the wave frame without a top tube, both model variants remain remarkably light at a stated 20 kg and 21 kg respectively.
A step-through e-bike doesn't have to be heavy or bulky – with this principle, Yuccie is launching its next generation. For the 2027 model year, the Hamburg-based company is expanding the Junico family with a completely redesigned step-through model. The Junico Wave combines a modern wave frame with low weight, modern technology, and high everyday comfort. Yuccie continues to rely on Bafang rear motors with integrated torque sensors for the drive system. A unique feature is the battery integration: the battery is conveniently removed upwards from the downtube instead of downwards, as is usually the case.
New cockpit and Bafang app
By eliminating the top tube, Yuccie has also completely redesigned the cockpit. The display is now integrated directly into the angle-adjustable stem, promoting an upright riding position and keeping the controls centrally located within the rider's field of vision. For connectivity, Yuccie relies on compatibility with the Bafang app, allowing route guidance for navigation to be displayed directly on the bike's screen. Optionally, the bike can also be equipped with a retrofittable GPS tracker via the Yuccie app.
Yuccie Junico Wave: Color variations and prices
• Yuccie Junico Wave Flow (20 kg): Available in ice blue, sage green shiny and black matt for 2.399 euros.
• Yuccie Junico Wave Active (21 kg): Available in the above-mentioned colours as well as in blackberry matt for 2.299 euros.
Both models are offered in frame heights of 43 cm and 51 cm.
