Giro d'Italia #1: Narvaez defeats Schachmann and conquers Rosa
Cycling: Jhonathan Narváez won the opening race of the Giro d'Italia. The national champion from Ecuador defeated German Maximilian Schachmann and Tadej Pogacar of Slovenia in a three-man sprint for the stage victory. Narváez wins in Turin ahead of Schachmann.
